VISIT
Trefin Museum can be found on Trefin’s main street Ffordd y Felin, opposite the three hundred year old Ship Inn, and on Instagram @trefinmuseum.
We are a two minute walk down to Trefin’s historic mill and beach, a five minute drive to Porthgain harbour’s art galleries, Shed restaurant, and Sloop pub, and twenty minutes from St Davids Cathedral and Fishguard station.
Other sights to see in Trefin include the village pump on the rocky outcrop that gives Trefin its name, the Methodist chapel built in 1786 and its school, now hostel, and the village’s imposing sea captains’ houses.
A ten minute walk through the housing above the Museum and fields leads to Trwyn Llwyd slate quarry, used to build our building in 1843.
Keyholder Byron opens the Museum on a number of days from Easter through to September.
